The Instructors

BEVERLY A. MELCHER, has been Raising German Shepherds and training dogs since the mid 70rs, She has numerous titles on each of her Shepherds. She trained for the Tri-County Dog Obedience Club, The Lehigh German Shepherd Dog Club, is a member of the G.S.D.C.A., D.V.G.S.D.C, L.G.S.D.C, APDT.

Beverly's most advanced dog, "GEOBEVS HAPPY-GO-LUCKY," has an obedience title, CD, a herding title HT, agility tides in Masters Excellent Standard, and Excellent in Jumpers with Weaves, also giving her the prestigious award through the German Shepherd club of America "P.A.M." Performance Award of Merit. Happy, now retired from breeding and agility, still enjoys hanging with everybody and doing agility and herding.

Beverly is currently competing in all levels of agility. German Shepherd, "Arizona,” just got her Masters Excellent Standard in ARC. Arizona also has a Masters Excellent in Jumpers, and a CD. Beverly is also competing presently with two of Tess's pups fathered by Rush, Treasure and Diamond are competing at the open level. Another German Shepherd, "Journey,” is competing at the Novice B Standard and Open Jumpers with Weaves.


PHYLLIS KRAFT
: TEACHES OBEDIENCE ALL LEVELS, BREED HANDLING CLASSES AND PUPPY KINDERGARTEN. Phyllis has been affiliated with dogs over 40 years. In that time, she has:

Over the 40+years of Phyllis involvement with dogs, she has finished numerous dogs in obedience and breed champions, both her own and clients. She has been an A.K.C. licensed Superintendent for 20 years and is currently an associate with Jim Rau Dog Shows.

 

MARY ELLEN BARRY: TEACHES ALL LEVELS OF AGILITY

Mary Ellen has been involved in training dogs for 10 years. She has competed with three border collies in that time. At just 3 years old, her youngest Border Collie, Fizz, has quite an impressive list of achievements. Fizz earned her ADCH before her 3rd birthday. In her first year of competition, at the age of 23 months, Fizz was a USDAA Grand Prix finalist in the competitive 22” class. Her first Border Collie, Zoe, achieved an ADCH and competed in the USDAA Steeplechase finals in Fair Hill in 2000. Both girls have had numerous placements at national events including USDAA and AAC. She has also competed at the Masters and National level with Zack, who is now retired.

Mary Ellen is an instructor at Susan Garrett's Say Yes Dog Training, in Ancaster, Ontario. She operates KineticDog, LLC with her husband George, which offers private lessons and seminars in agility and clicker training. She has studied under Susan Garrett and Greg Derrett for the past several years, and has attended 3 levels of Bailey and Bailey Behavior Workshops. Mary Ellen's methods are all positive and are taught using a clicker and operant conditioning.
